I first got started with backgammon by playing backgammon board games at my friend’s homes. Backgammon is a great game because you only need to people to play it, so you’re never short. But, if you have more, it’s easy to bring out more boards and have a backgammon tournament. Plus, backgammon board games are cheap which allowed me and my friends to play it.
After high school though I got to college and playing backgammon board games wasn’t a great option since college kids aren’t into board games so much; this when I found internet backgammon. The internet wasn’t too old back then but the playing experience was still fun. Today of course, internet backgammon is on a different level; completely realistic with chat features and other special features. But back then, playing backgammon online was fun and a great way to keep playing since backgammon board games were out of the pictures.
Now, years later, I’m out of college and still playing backgammon. And now, it turns out my backgammon days were worth it. Backgammon has become a popular casino game and they even televise the world tour. So now my skills are paying off. I make a killing at the casinos and with internet backgammon I can make money any time from home. It’s been a long time since I first started playing backgammon board games and I would have never have thought I would make money off of it; especially so much that I’m considering retiring from my job and playing backgammon full time. But that’s what happened and I love every minute of it.
